COOK (NOC 6322) AT TAPAS RESTAURANT

SALARY:$16.00 – $20.00 per hour

Availability:Evenings, Over time, Weekends, Holidays

Anticipated Start Date:As Soon As Possible

Experience Requirement:At least 2 years of work experience as a Cook in a high-end specialty restaurant

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Working experience in restaurants serving: Canadian, Mexican, European, International, Mediterranean cuisine

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Ensure strict compliance with the restaurant’s Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program

  • Adhere to all sanitary regulations and standards

  • Supervise kitchen helpers

  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment when required

  • Set up and oversee buffets

  • Clean kitchen and work area

  • Monitor and order supplies as needed

  • Assist with kitchen staff training

  • Be a team player, flexible, dependable, reliable, client focused and show initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Cook Trade certificate or equivalent overseas certificate or relevant number of years work experience

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Food safety certificate
